Orthopedic care built around Hawaiʻi patients
Dr. Morton is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose practice includes hip and knee replacement, revision joint replacement, sports medicine, joint preservation, fracture care, and minimally invasive orthopedic treatment. At Pacific Bone & Joint, the goal is not simply to perform surgery. It is to identify the right treatment for each patient and help people return to the activities that matter to them.
That approach may begin with nonsurgical treatment such as physical therapy, activity modification, medications, bracing, injections, PRP, or other carefully selected treatments. When surgery is the best option, modern techniques can include robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, minimally invasive approaches, and evidence-based recovery pathways designed to restore mobility and function.
From Hawaiʻi, for Hawaiʻi
Caring for patients in Hawaiʻi comes with unique challenges. Patients may live on different islands, travel significant distances for specialty care, and want to return to lifestyles that include work, hiking, surfing, paddling, golf, running, martial arts, and time with family.
Pacific Bone & Joint provides orthopedic and musculoskeletal care on Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island, with an emphasis on making specialty orthopedic care more accessible to local patients.
Dr. Morton’s connection to Hawaiʻi is also personal. His medical education included the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine, and his orthopedic practice is focused on serving the communities of the islands.
A full spectrum of musculoskeletal care
Pacific Bone & Joint has expanded beyond a traditional surgical practice. Depending on the diagnosis, patients may have access to:
- Hip and knee replacement and revision surgery
- Sports medicine and treatment of athletic injuries
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Arthritis and joint-preservation treatment
- PRP and regenerative medicine options
- Fracture and acute orthopedic care
- Ultrasound-guided procedures, including carpal tunnel and trigger finger treatment
- Osteoporosis evaluation and bone-health care
The advantage of a broad orthopedic program is that treatment can be matched to the problem. Some patients need surgery. Many do not. Others may benefit from physical therapy or another less invasive treatment first and still have surgery available later if symptoms progress.
