What We Treat

Orthopedic services in Hilo

From same-day urgent care to robotic joint replacement performed right here on the Big Island.

Surgery & Technology

Where your surgery happens

Consults, imaging, and follow-up happen at our Hilo office on Pu‘uhonu Place. For Hilo patients, robotic joint replacement is performed right here on the Big Island at Hilo Community Surgery Center with the MAKO® system — CT-based planning for robotic hip and total & partial knee replacement, done as outpatient surgery. No flight to Oahu needed.

Where appropriate, Dr. Morton uses an anterior (bikini) muscle-sparing approach for the hip and a subvastus approach for the knee. The robot assists; Dr. Morton controls every step. Not everyone is a candidate.
